Homo-Sapiens: Jailan Yasser

The experience started when I decided to fill an application for the event’s speakers. I didn’t know what I was signing up for, but I knew that it would add to me, and will probably benefit an individual or two along the way. I see myself not unique, but different, from the people I’m surrounded with. I dress differently and talk differently. I think and act differently, and that brought me a huge deal of criticism, mockery, and nonacceptance throughout my life. So it all started from my personal experience, and why people think that being different is wrong. I wanted to explore that thought, and get a few people on my journey of exploration as well”
