Bayern Munchen vs. Juventus : Redefining Epic
What a game!!!!!
Bayern Munchen clinched a most precious win in the UEFA Champions League over Juventus, to qualify to the quarter-finals stage.
The Bavarian outfit arrived home after reaching a draw in the away games in Italy 2-2, to meet with Juventus in Allianz Arena, in hopes of reaching the quarter-finals.
The first half saw the Italian team very dominant, applying high pressure on their counterparts, and was able to score 2 goals, by Paul Pogba and Juan Cuadrado.
But in the second half, the Bundesliga heroes started showing more dominance, as Juventus was in no way able to withhold its high pressure for the entirety of the game.
It was in the 74th minute, that Robert Lewandowski was able to score a header, from a long pass by Douglas Costa, and in the last minute, another header came from Thomas Muller with the equalizer, forcing the game to an extra time.
The first extra time went by goal-less, nevertheless dominated by Munchen.
It was the second first time that saw the fruit of the Bavarian team’s high offense, in two goals scored within 3 minutes, 7 minutes before the end, by the two substitutes, Thiago Alcantara and Kingsley Coman, showing Pep Guardiola’s extreme foresight.
The game was no less than an absolute epic battle to watch, that a fan could only witness on rare occasions.
